Create and Manage Coupons
Offer percentage or fixed-amount discounts on your products across funnels, forms, your store, payment links, and calendar bookings — with fine control over exactly what the discount applies to and how long it lasts.
Create a coupon
- Go to Payments > Coupons > Create Coupon.
- Give it a name and an alphanumeric code (codes aren't case-sensitive).
- Choose the discount type: percentage or fixed amount.
- Optionally set a start and end date for when the coupon is active.
- Set restrictions if needed — a maximum number of total redemptions, or a limit of one use per customer.
- Save to activate.
Targeting specific products, prices, or variants
Rather than duplicating a product just to offer a targeted discount, you can scope a coupon precisely:
- The entire product
- All prices/variants of a product
- One specific price or variant
The coupon only applies when that exact price or variant is the one selected at checkout, which keeps discounts from being applied more broadly than intended.
Applying coupons to subscriptions
For recurring products, choose how long the discount should last:
- Once — the first payment only
- Forever — every recurring payment
- A set number of months — the discount stops automatically after that period
For a subscription with a trial, the duration you set starts counting from the subscription's start date, whether it begins in trial or active status.
Limitations
- Coupons currently aren't supported on Estimates or Invoices.
- Certain PayPal configurations don't support subscription discounts with a fixed duration, or 100%-off subscription offers.
