Bulk Import Blog Posts From a CSV File

If you are moving from another platform, a spreadsheet export is the quickest way to bring in many posts at once.

What to know first

  • You can upload up to 60 posts per file; keep the file under 25 MB.
  • Download the sample file and keep its column headers exactly as they are.
  • Authors and categories are matched or created automatically.
  • The Publish Date column decides status: past date means Published, future date means Scheduled, blank means Draft. An invalid date falls back to Draft.
  • Posts publish in your account's time zone.

Steps

  1. Go to Sites > Blog and open the blog.
  2. Click New Post > Import Blog Post from CSV.
  3. Click Download sample, fill it in, then upload it by clicking or dragging.
  4. Review the file summary and formatting tips, then click Continue.
  5. Click any post card to preview on desktop and mobile; use the pencil icon to edit.
  6. Adjust dates if needed with the date picker.
  7. Click Import and confirm the summary of how many will be Published, Scheduled or Draft.

Fixing errors

Rows that fail validation appear under Posts with Errors, with a reason for each, such as a missing image, invalid date or an overlong description.

Good to know: Split big libraries into batches of about 50 posts so each import is quick to check.
