Manage Saved Cards on File

Save a customer's card so you (or they) don't have to re-enter it for every future charge, invoice, or subscription payment. Vendi Today only stores the last 3–4 digits and the expiration date — the full card number lives with your payment provider, not in Vendi Today directly.

Add a card

  1. Open the customer's contact record and click the $ (payments) icon.
  2. Under Actions, select Add Card on File.
  3. Enter the card number, expiration date, CVV, and country.
  4. Confirm.

View saved cards

Click Manage Cards under Actions on the contact record to see all cards on file, shown with their last digits and expiration date. Test-mode and live-mode cards are listed separately, so you always know which environment you're looking at.

Remove a card

Find the card in the list and click Delete, then confirm. If the card is attached to an active subscription, the system will warn you before removing it — deleting it will interrupt that subscription's billing.

On mobile

The same actions — add, view, and delete cards on file — are available from a contact's payment record in the mobile app, so your team can manage this while away from a desk.

Why it matters

Cards on file make repeat billing faster: staff can charge a returning customer in a few taps instead of asking for card details again, and recurring invoices and subscriptions can draft automatically against a saved card.
