Enroll Affiliates in Campaigns or Remove Them Automatically

Affiliate campaigns define which products you promote and what commission affiliates earn. Two actions keep campaign membership current without manual work: Add To Affiliate Campaign and Remove From Affiliate Campaign.

Add To Affiliate Campaign

Adds the contact to a chosen campaign as an active affiliate, so they can start sharing their referral link and earning commission.

  1. Create a workflow, for instance triggered by Contact Changed when the tag "Affiliate" is added.
  2. Click + and choose Add To Affiliate Campaign.
  3. Name it, such as "Enroll in Spring Promo".
  4. Select the Affiliate Campaign from the dropdown.
  5. Save and publish.

Because the contact becomes an affiliate through this step, you do not need a separate "add to affiliate manager" step when the goal is simply to enroll them.

Remove From Affiliate Campaign

Takes an affiliate out of one campaign. They can no longer use that campaign's referral link to generate sales or commissions.

  1. Choose a trigger such as Form Submitted where the form is your "Leave Campaign" form.
  2. Add Remove From Affiliate Campaign.
  3. Name it, for example "Remove from Black Friday".
  4. Pick the Affiliate Campaign to remove them from.
  5. Save and publish.

Use cases

  • Seasonal programs: enroll people when a promotion starts, remove them when it ends using a date-based trigger.
  • Tiers: move top performers into a higher-commission campaign by removing them from one and adding them to another.
  • Opt-outs: honor exit requests instantly.
  • Compliance: remove a partner immediately after a policy flag tag is added.

Tips

  • Remove only from the campaign in question; use Update Affiliate to deactivate the person everywhere.
  • Add a confirmation email so the affiliate knows what changed.
  • Review the campaign's member list after your first few runs.

Good to know: To change tiers cleanly, put the remove step before the add step so the affiliate is never in two campaigns at once.
