Create a Facebook Lead Form and Map It to Contacts
In a Meta Lead Generation campaign, people can submit their details without leaving Facebook or Instagram. With field mapping set up, each answer lands in the right field on a Vendi Today contact, ready for Workflows and follow-up.
Before you start
- Use the Lead Generation objective.
- Make sure your Facebook profile can access the connected Page.
- Have a privacy policy URL that reflects your own business practices.
Create a new form
- Open your campaign and go to the Ad level.
- Open the Create new or select a Lead form dropdown and choose Create Facebook Form.
- Name the form and pick a type. More Volume is quicker for people to submit. Higher Intent adds a review step so they confirm their details.
- In Greeting, add a required headline plus a paragraph or list explaining why people should fill it in.
- In Questions, choose the information to collect, and add short-answer or multiple-choice custom questions to qualify leads.
- Turn on Form Field Mapping and match each question to a contact field.
- Add your privacy policy link.
- Write the thank-you message with a headline, description and a button such as visiting your site or calling you.
- Save the form and select it for the ad.
Custom fields
If the contact field you need does not exist, create a custom field in Vendi Today first. It will then appear as a choice in the mapping list. Tracking parameters on Facebook forms also need mapping to sync.
Review, map or duplicate later
Select a form, then click the pencil icon beside its name. You can preview the form, edit mappings or click Duplicate Form to copy it with all fields pre-filled. If a form is unmapped, a "map now" message appears under the selector.
Good to know: Test the form with your own details first and check that the new contact shows each answer in the correct field.
