Add Multiple Recipients to a Document
Not every agreement has just one signer. Vendi Today lets you send a single document to several people at once, whether they need to sign or just need a copy for their records.
Recipient types
When you add someone to a document, choose their role:
- Signer — gets their own signature field(s) and must complete them before the document can finish.
- CC — receives a copy to view but has nothing to fill in.
You can also add someone from your own team as a signer, useful for agreements that require an internal approval alongside the client's.
How it works
Each recipient gets a unique link that only shows the fields assigned to them — nobody sees another signer's private information. Once every required signer completes their part, Vendi Today merges everything into one finished PDF and generates a signature certificate logging each person's IP address, approximate location, and the time they signed.
The primary recipient matters
The first person you add is treated as the primary recipient. If the document uses custom values or triggers an invoice, those are tied to this person, so add your main client or decision-maker first.
Tips for multi-recipient documents
- Double-check which fields are assigned to which recipient before sending — a signature field left unassigned won't get filled in.
- Let recipients know ahead of time that they're one of several signers, so they aren't confused about why some fields are locked.
- If a signer is taking too long, resend their invitation as a reminder from the document's activity view.
- Review the signature certificate after completion if you need to confirm signing details for compliance purposes.
If you also need signers to sign in a specific order rather than all at once, pair this with signing order (see the related article in this section).
