Voicemail Setup

You can set a voicemail greeting at two levels — one for the whole business, and one per team member — and Vendi Today plays whichever one applies to the call.

Company voicemail

This plays when a call reaches a number that isn't assigned to any specific user.

1. Go to Settings > Business Profile > Call & Voicemail Settings.
2. Upload your greeting (MP3 or WAV, 64 kbps).
3. Save.

User voicemail

This plays when a call reaches a number assigned to a specific team member, giving each person their own personalized greeting.

1. Go to Settings > My Staff, and edit the user.
2. Open Call & Voicemail Settings.
3. Upload their greeting (same format: MP3 or WAV, 64 kbps).
4. Save.

Recording your greeting

• Record somewhere quiet, at a consistent volume, with minimal background noise.
• Export as MP3 or WAV at 64 kbps — if a recording sounds distorted after upload, re-export at that bitrate and try again.
• Test it by calling the number from another phone before relying on it live.

How long calls ring before voicemail

Calls ring for up to 60 seconds by default before falling back to voicemail. You can shorten this in the number's call forwarding settings — a shorter timeout is useful if you want to make sure your own voicemail catches the call before a forwarded destination's voicemail has a chance to.

Finding recorded voicemails

Voicemails left by callers show up in Call Reporting and in the relevant contact's Conversation thread, where you can play them back or read the transcription.
