Show Deadlines in Each Viewer's Time Zone
Time zone adaptation lets a countdown follow the person looking at it, so "ends at midnight" means midnight on their clock rather than yours. It is a single checkbox on the timer.
How the Zone Is Chosen
| Where the timer appears | Time zone used | Fallback |
|---|---|---|
| The contact's saved time zone | The timer's own time zone | |
| Funnel or website | The visitor's location-detected time zone | The timer's own time zone |
If neither piece of data is available, Vendi Today uses the time zone you selected when building the timer. That is why you should always choose one, even with adaptation turned on.
Turn It On
- Open Marketing, then Countdown Timers.
- Open the timer you want to change, or click + New.
- In the timer settings, pick the Time Zone you want as the fallback.
- Tick Adapt to Contact Time Zone.
- Click Save.
- Add the timer to an email or page, then preview it to confirm the display.
When to Use It
Use it when each recipient should hit the deadline at the same local clock time, such as "sale ends at 11:59 PM wherever you are". Skip it when everyone must reach the cutoff at the same absolute moment, such as a live event that starts at one global time.
Good to know: For dynamic timers the same rule applies, so a contact with a known time zone sees a countdown adjusted to their region even when the email is opened elsewhere.
