Tag Contacts Directly from Campaign Statistics

After a campaign sends, you can tag the people who opened, clicked or otherwise interacted without building a Workflow first. You can even tag future interactions automatically.

Tag existing contacts

  1. Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns.
  2. Click the three dots beside a sent campaign and choose Statistics.
  3. Click Load More to see the interaction categories.
  4. Open a category, for example Opened or Clicked.
  5. Select the contacts you want.
  6. Click Add Tags, type a tag name and apply it.

You can add several tags at once. A tag a contact already has is simply ignored.

Tag future interactions automatically

  1. In the category you want, choose All.
  2. Click Add Tags and enter the tags.
  3. Switch on Auto-Tag Future Interactions.

New contacts who engage later will be tagged as it happens.

Where to see what happened

Manual tagging is recorded in Tags and Contacts > Bulk Actions. Automatic tagging does not appear in the Bulk Actions log, but is visible in the statistics area.

Limits

  • You can add tags here but not remove them. Remove tags from the contact record or the tag settings.
  • Auto-tagging does not apply to invalid contacts or order detail lists.
  • It works for A/B test campaigns too.

Good to know: Create a tag like "Clicked pricing email" so your sales team can follow up with the warmest contacts.
