Events in Vendi Today: Overview, Types and Locations

Events lets you run public, registration-based gatherings without a separate ticketing tool. You can publish an event page, sell or collect RSVPs, build a schedule, notify attendees, and check people in at the door, all next to your Contacts, payments, and Workflows.

When to Use Events

Choose Events for public experiences that need registration, tickets, speakers, or check-in: conferences, workshops, webinars, meetups, and open houses. It is different from a booking calendar, which handles one-to-one appointments.

Pick an Event Type

  • Ticketed: sell tickets with several pricing tiers, free and paid mixed together. Attendees go through checkout before their registration is confirmed. Good for conferences, VIP tiers, concerts, and limited seating.
  • RSVP: free sign-up with no payment step. Good for free webinars, community meetups, and internal gatherings.

You cannot switch between Ticketed and RSVP after creating the event, so decide before you begin.

Pick a Location Type

  • In-person: add a street address. The public page shows a map and a Get directions link, and QR check-in is available.
  • Online: add a page title, meeting URL, optional image, and joining instructions. Choose whether the join link stays hidden until the event starts or appears on a custom schedule with minute-level control.

Where to Find It

Open Memberships, then Events. The dashboard lists every event with its status (Draft, Published, RSVP, or Ticketed). Use the status filter and search bar to find one quickly, and click + Create Event to start.

Event Lifecycle

New events start as Draft and stay invisible until you publish. After publishing you can unpublish (registrations are kept), archive (restorable), duplicate, or delete permanently.

Good to know: Online events show an attendee list but do not support check-in or wallet passes; those features are for in-person events.
