Activity, Access, and Audit Logs for WordPress
Vendi Today offers three kinds of logs for WordPress sites, each answering a different question: who changed something, who visited, and who performed account-level actions.
Activity Logs
These record actions taken on your WordPress account or one specific site. Each entry shows the person who acted, the time, and whether the action succeeded. They are useful for tracing a configuration change or reviewing team activity.
- Go to Sites > WordPress and click Manage Site.
- Open Activity Logs in the submenu and switch the feature on.
- Choose a time range. Entries begin appearing after logging has been enabled for a while; they do not backfill earlier history.
Access Logs
These record requests made to the server: the page requested, the visitor's IP address, the time, the response status (for example 200 for success or 404 for not found), and the size of the response. They help you spot unusual traffic and find broken links.
- Open Manage Site for the site.
- Go to Analytics, then Visitors Report.
- Scroll to the bottom to see Access Logs.
Audit Logs
Audit Logs bring important WordPress events into the main account audit trail, including purchases, cancellations, site creation, and site deletion.
- Open Settings from the left sidebar.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Audit Logs.
Troubleshooting
- Logs are empty: check that you have permission to view them and that activity logging is switched on.
- Suspicious entries: change passwords right away and review who has access.
- Many errors: the logs can point to a failing plugin or misconfigured setting.
Good to know: Turn on Activity Logs before you need them, because they cannot show what happened before they were enabled.
