Route Facebook Leads Instantly with the Facebook Lead Form Submitted Trigger
If you run lead ads on Facebook, the form people fill in lives inside Facebook itself. The Facebook Lead Form Submitted trigger sends each new lead straight into a workflow so your team can respond within seconds.
Before you start
Connect your Facebook account under Settings > Integrations and make sure the page and lead forms you use are available. Only connected pages appear in the trigger's filters.
Filters
- Page Is: the Facebook page running the campaign.
- Form Is: a specific lead form belonging to that page. Leave it open to include every form.
Set it up
- Open Automation > Workflows and click Add New Trigger.
- In the Events group, select Facebook Lead Form Submitted.
- Name it, such as "Facebook leads - weight loss campaign".
- Click Add filters and pick the Page and Form.
- Click Save Trigger and build your actions.
- Use Test Workflow, then publish.
Good first actions
- Create/Update Opportunity to place the lead in your pipeline.
- Assign to User so someone owns the follow-up.
- Send Email or text with a personal thank-you.
- Internal Notification so nobody misses a lead.
Why use it
- No exports or manual imports.
- Contacts are created in real time.
- Different forms can start different follow-up, for example an offer-specific message.
Tips
- Use one workflow per campaign or form so each message matches the ad.
- Add a short wait before calling, but keep it under a few minutes, since lead response time matters.
- Tag contacts with the campaign name for reporting.
Good to know: If no leads arrive, check that the page connection is current and that your form fields are mapped to contact fields.
