Build a Carousel Ad on Meta
A carousel puts several swipeable cards in one ad. Each card can hold its own image or video, headline, description and link. This works well for showing multiple products, a step-by-step story or different features of one offer.
Add carousel cards
- In Marketing > Ad Manager, open your Meta campaign and move to the Ad level.
- In the media section, change Media type from Single to Carousel.
- Click Upload media. The media library opens.
- Select several images, videos or a mix, then click Insert Files. You can add up to 10 cards.
- Give every card a Headline. This is required, and the campaign cannot publish if any card lacks one. A description is optional.
- Drag cards into the order you want people to see them.
Fine-tune the cards
- Video thumbnail: click an uploaded video and choose the frame to show.
- Remove a card: click it, then use the trash icon.
- Preview: the preview panel shows the carousel as it will appear.
- Review step: all cards are listed under ad content before you publish.
Editing later
Published or In Review campaigns still allow edits to eligible fields, including Ad Text and Media. Meta reviews the ad again after you republish.
When to choose a carousel
Pick a carousel when you have more than one message, product or visual to show. Choose a single image or video when one strong creative says everything you need.
Good to know: Put your strongest card first, since most people decide whether to swipe based on the first thing they see.
