Traffic Source and Channel Analytics
The Acquisition section of Sites Analytics shows where your visitors came from each day. A stacked bar chart splits daily visits by marketing channel, and a second view lists the exact source and medium behind each visit.
How Vendi Today assigns a channel
Each visit is sorted using clues from the visitor's arrival:
- UTM parameters: the source, medium, and campaign values you add to your links.
- Ad click identifiers: tags added automatically by ad platforms, which help confirm that a visit was paid.
- Referrer: if the visitor came from a recognized search engine or social network, it is matched to that channel.
- Direct: no referrer and no tags.
- Other: visits with missing, unreadable, or malformed information.
Channels include Paid Search, Paid Social, Organic Search, Social, Referral, Direct, and Other.
How to read the dashboard
- Open Sites, then click Analytics.
- Choose Funnels or Websites and select a date range.
- Scroll to Acquisition Data.
- Open the Traffic Channel tab to see daily visits grouped by channel.
- Open the Source/Medium tab to see specifics such as google, facebook, or direct.
- Hover over any bar to see the exact number for that day, and click a day to filter the whole dashboard to it.
Keeping attribution clean
A large Other or Direct bucket usually means links are missing tags. Build every campaign link with consistent UTM values, and check that redirects between your ad and your page keep those values. Data follows your account's time zone, so agree on one with your team before comparing reports.
Good to know: Click a single day on the chart to investigate a spike, and the cards below will show only that day's audience.
