Filter Custom Object Records with Advanced Filters

Once a custom object has more than a handful of records, you'll want to narrow the list down to exactly what you're looking for. Advanced filters let you do that across both standard and custom fields.

What you can filter on

• Default fields built into the object
• Any custom field you've added, including ones grouped into categories

Finding the field you want

Use the search bar within the filter panel to quickly locate a specific field.

Combining filters

Filters can be grouped using AND / OR logic, so you can build more complex conditions.

Managing your filter setup

• Reorder filters within the panel.
• Remove a filter by deselecting it, or clear everything with the reset button.
• Apply as many conditions as you need at once.

Turning a filtered view into something reusable

Once you've built a filter combination you'll want again later, save it as a SmartList instead of rebuilding it from scratch each time.
