Start Private Conversations with GoKollab Chats

Not every conversation belongs in a public community thread. GoKollab Chats lets members message each other one-on-one, so a discussion can move from the public feed into a focused private conversation without leaving the platform.

Starting a chat

1. Sign in and open GoKollab.
2. Go to a community's discussion page.
3. Click the Chat button, near the top right.
4. Select the member you want to message — this only works with people you share a community with.
5. Type your message and send it.

Managing your conversations

• Every chat lands in a single, centralized inbox, so you're not hunting across different community threads to find a conversation.
• Message history is searchable, so you can find something from a past conversation later.
• You get in-app notifications when a new message arrives.

Good to know

• Chats currently support one-to-one messaging only — there's no group chat option yet.
• You can only message members you share a community with; there's no way to message someone outside your shared communities.
• This is separate from any internal team chat or customer-facing chat widget elsewhere in Vendi Today — GoKollab Chats is specifically for member-to-member conversation within your communities.
