Add Logos, Images, Calls and Sitelinks to Google Campaigns
Campaign-level assets enrich your search ads with extra visuals and links. You set them once at the campaign level and every ad group and ad inside inherits them.
Asset limits
| Asset | Format and size | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Business logo | JPG or PNG, square (1:1) | 1 |
| Images | JPG or PNG, 1:1 or 1.91:1, up to 5 MB each | Up to 20 |
| Call extensions | Google-approved phone numbers | Several |
| Sitelinks | Text plus URL | 2 to 20 (4 recommended) |
Add them
- In Marketing > Ad Manager, open your Google campaign and find Additional Assets.
- Images: click Upload, choose files from the media library or upload new ones, then save. Add 2 or 3 per aspect ratio for the best coverage.
- Logo: click + Upload Logo, choose a square image, and click it afterwards to crop.
- Call extension: open the dropdown and pick saved numbers, or click + Create a New Call, choose the country, enter the number and click Create.
- Sitelinks: open the dropdown and select existing ones, or click + Create a new sitelink and fill in the link text (up to 25 characters), optional description lines and the final URL.
Use the pencil icon to edit any saved entry.
What happens with problems
- Unsupported ratios such as 4:5 trigger a warning asking you to crop or resize.
- If some images fail the checks, the campaign still publishes with valid text ads and the other assets.
- A call extension can be disapproved for an invalid number, wrong country code or formatting.
Fallback
If you add no campaign assets, Google uses assets set at the account level, if any. Campaign selections always take priority.
Good to know: Avoid text overlays, watermarks and animated GIFs in images, since these are the most common reasons for rejection.
