Send Documents and Contracts via SMS

Email isn't always the fastest way to get someone's attention. Vendi Today can deliver documents by text message as well, which often gets noticed and opened faster than an email sitting in an inbox.

Delivery options

• Send by SMS only.
• Send by email and SMS together.
• Choose the channel at the moment you send an individual document, or set it up to happen automatically through a workflow.

Setting up defaults

Go to Payments > Documents & Contracts > Settings > Customer Notifications to configure your default delivery channel and messaging. If you want reusable text templates for this, create SMS snippets in your snippets library so you're not writing the message from scratch every time.

Before you send

Make sure the recipient's phone number is correct and up to date — you can view their contact info while adding them as a recipient on the document.

A few things to know

• Sending "Document Signed" confirmation notifications always follows your account's global notification settings, regardless of how the original document was delivered.
• Sending via workflow keeps delivery consistent across every client going through the same pipeline stage.

When to use SMS delivery

Time-sensitive proposals and contracts — a quote that needs a same-day answer, a last-minute service agreement — are good candidates for SMS delivery, since it tends to get read faster than email.
