Managing Rental Bookings and Blocking Availability

Once bookings start coming in, you need a working view of what's booked, what's open, and what needs to be manually pulled out of availability — for maintenance, personal use, or anything else that isn't a paying reservation.

The rental calendar view

The calendar view lays out your listings down the side and time across the top, with each booking shown as a colored block — so you can tell booked, active, completed, unconfirmed, and canceled reservations apart at a glance. Hovering over any block shows the customer, listing, and duration without opening the full record.

Creating bookings manually

  • Use the + New button for a full booking form, useful for phone or walk-in reservations.
  • Drag across a listing's row on the calendar to auto-fill a start and end time for a fast entry — this works for future dates only; use the New button for same-day bookings.

Blocking availability without a booking

To take a unit out of availability without an actual reservation — for cleaning, maintenance, or owner use — create a blocked slot instead of a booking. Once created, the unit becomes unavailable for that window across every booking flow, including the public widget.

Filtering the view

Use the manage/filter panel to narrow the calendar down to specific listings, categories, or booking statuses — helpful when you're managing many units and only need to check one category during a busy season.

Good to know: A blocked slot is the correct way to reserve time for yourself — don't leave a unit simply unlisted or hidden, since that removes it from view entirely rather than just marking those specific dates unavailable.
