Collect Separate Marketing and Informational Text Consent

If your business sends both promotional texts and service updates, you can register one messaging program that asks visitors to opt in to each kind separately.

What it is

During guided text-message registration, you can pick a Mixed message type. Vendi Today then builds a chat widget with two consent options: one for marketing and one for informational messages such as appointment reminders and order updates.

How the widget behaves

  • Neither checkbox is pre-selected, so contacts opt in on purpose.
  • Visitors can choose informational only, marketing only, or both.
  • Required wording such as STOP and HELP instructions, message frequency and data-rate notices is added for you and cannot be edited.
  • You can still change appearance settings where offered.

Choose Mixed

  1. Start the text registration flow for your business.
  2. When asked for the Message Type, choose Mixed only if you truly send both kinds of message.
  3. Complete your campaign description and sample messages so they describe both categories.
  4. Review the generated widget and install it on your site.

Compliance reminders

  • Keep your registration details, sample messages, consent flow and real messages consistent with each other.
  • Respect each contact's choices when you send. Send promotions only to people who agreed to marketing.

Good to know: If you only send service messages, choose the transactional type; picking Mixed unnecessarily can complicate approval.
