Create a Mega Menu

A mega menu is a large panel that opens when a visitor hovers over a menu item. It can hold images, text and several columns of links, making it ideal for sites with many pages.

Add a mega menu

1. Open the page in the builder and add a Navigation Menu element from the left sidebar.
2. Use the style editor on the right to set layout and styling.
3. Click Add Item, then choose Mega Menu.
4. Open the mega menu editor. A dimmed overlay keeps you focused on the panel.
5. Add elements such as images, text and links, and drag them into the order you want.
6. Adjust background colors, fonts and spacing to match your brand.
7. Use the live preview to see how it will look on your live site.
8. Save and publish.

Design ideas

• Group services into columns with a short heading over each.
• Add a featured image or offer in one corner.
• Include a button for your main call to action.

Standard dropdown or mega menu?

A normal dropdown is perfect for a handful of links. Choose a mega menu when you need descriptions, images or many categories at once.

Tips

Check the hover behavior on a tablet and the collapsed layout on mobile before publishing. Prebuilt mega menu headers can give you a starting layout.

Good to know: Keep the panel focused on three to five groups; a menu that scrolls is rarely a fast way to navigate.
