Auditing Consent Text Across Your Forms, Surveys and Chat Widgets
The consent audit scans your lead capture points for standard opt-in language, shows where something is missing, and lets you correct many assets at once. It saves checking each asset by hand.
What Gets Scanned
Forms, surveys, calendar booking forms, Facebook lead forms and chat widgets. Facebook lead forms are listed for visibility only, because their consent text must be edited on Facebook itself, after which you rescan.
Run the Audit
- Open the audit screen from the AI voice and outbound calling area, completing the verification step with Update Disclosure if prompted.
- Select the locations and asset types to include, then start the scan.
- Filter the results by Needs Attention and click an asset to preview its current wording.
- Tick the assets you want to update.
- Open the Bulk Fix window and review the standard consent text and where it will be placed.
- Choose whether to replace existing wording or append to it, then confirm.
- Spot-check a few assets and rerun the audit to verify.
Good Practices
- Only ticked assets change, so you can exclude anything with approved custom wording.
- There may be no undo for a bulk change. If the asset type keeps version history, restore from there, otherwise re-enter your preferred text by hand.
- Run the audit after importing or creating new assets, after policy updates, and on a regular schedule.
- The tool checks for common elements of consent, but laws differ by region, so have final wording reviewed by legal counsel.
Contacts who opt in through surveys, bookings, Facebook forms or chat widgets are then recognized for outbound messaging and calling, and their consent shows on the contact record.
Good to know: Double opt-in and related messaging rules are managed in your messaging settings, not by this audit.
