Send Shipping Follow-Ups with the Order Fulfilled Trigger
The Order Fulfilled trigger starts a workflow when an order's status changes to fulfilled. Use it for shipping notices, review requests, internal tasks and inventory updates.
What fires it
The trigger covers fulfillments in your Vendi Today store and in a connected Shopify store. Fulfillment events pushed in by connected shipping tools also count, so one workflow handles all of them. A legacy Shopify-only version still runs in existing workflows, but new automations should use the store version, which offers more filters.
Filters
- Cart Value: compare with operators such as greater than or equal to.
- Fulfilled Products: only specific products.
- Order Source: your store or an external source, plus Order Sub-Source such as Shopify.
- Shipping Carrier: treat different carriers differently.
- Tracking Number: require one, or match a pattern.
- Available Quantity: choose Global Products, pick one price, then set the stock condition and number.
Set it up
- Go to Automation > Workflows and open or create a workflow.
- Click Add New Trigger and pick Order Fulfilled from the Ecommerce Stores group.
- Name the trigger, for example "Fulfilled - store and Shopify".
- Click Add filters and set your conditions.
- Save the trigger, add actions, and publish.
Example
For orders with a cart value over 100, send a thank-you email with the tracking number, wait seven days, then send a text asking for a review. Add a "VIP customer" tag and create a task for a personal follow-up call.
Tips
- Use Tracking Number is not empty so you never send a "shipped" message without tracking details.
- Combine with Product Review Submitted to close the loop after delivery.
Good to know: Delay review requests until the parcel has likely arrived, not the moment it ships.
