Set Up Payment Links
A payment link is the fastest way to get paid for something without building a full checkout page — create it once, then drop the link into a text, email, or DM whenever someone's ready to pay.
Create a link
- Go to Payments > Payment Links and click Create New Payment Link.
- Choose the product this link should charge for.
- Set any options you need — quantity limits, available variants, and so on.
- Save.
Choose how to share it
Not every payment link needs to work the same way. You've got three options:
- Generic link — anyone who has it can use it, good for posting publicly or sending to a broad group
- Personalized link — locked to one specific recipient, useful when you want to make sure only the intended customer can pay through it
- Send directly to a contact — share it straight from a contact's record if you're already in Vendi Today working with that person
Making it feel like your brand
The checkout page automatically matches the language settings from your business profile, so international customers see it in a language they understand. You can also apply your own brand colors so the checkout doesn't feel like it's leaving your business, and turn on options like editable quantities or automatic tax calculation depending on what you're selling.
When to use a payment link vs. an invoice
A payment link is best for something quick and standard — a flat fee, a single product, no back-and-forth needed. If you need line items, a due date, or a more formal paper trail, an invoice is usually the better fit.
