Set Default Sender Preferences for Email Campaigns

Typing the same sender name and test addresses into every campaign gets old quickly. Sender Preferences let you save those details once so each new campaign and test send starts pre-filled.

What you can save

  • Sender Name: the name recipients see in their inbox. Use your business or team name.
  • Sender Email: the address that appears in the From field. It must be a valid address, and Vendi Today may ask you to verify it before it can be used in a campaign.
  • Test Recipient(s): up to five addresses, separated by commas, that receive test sends by default.
  • Custom Reply: an address for replies when you want them delivered somewhere other than the sender address.

Configure your defaults

  1. Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns.
  2. Click the Settings gear icon.
  3. Select Sender Preferences.
  4. Fill in the sender name, sender email, test recipients and custom reply as needed.
  5. Click Save.

How the defaults behave

  • They apply to new campaigns and new test sends only. Drafts and scheduled campaigns that already exist keep the details they were saved with.
  • You can still override any of the values inside an individual campaign.
  • A duplicated campaign keeps the sender details from the original, so check them after copying.
  • A saved sender address does not skip verification. If the address or its domain needs attention, you will see a warning when you send or schedule.

Good to know: Put a teammate's inbox in the test recipients list so someone else reviews every campaign before it goes live.
