Verify Email Addresses Before You Send

Bad addresses quietly wreck your sender reputation. Verification checks addresses before they're ever sent to.

What it checks

Format correctness, an MX record lookup (can the domain receive mail), an SMTP ping (does the mailbox exist). Returns deliverable, undeliverable, catch-all, or unknown, with a risk rating.

Turning it on

Settings > Business Profile > General, toggle Verify Email. New contacts get checked automatically as they enter via forms, surveys, bookings, chat.

Checking a bulk import

Vendi Today can run an import through Risk Assessment automatically and email a summary. Review past imports under Settings > Email Services > Risk Assessment.

Checking an individual contact

Contact profile, right-hand panel, envelope icon. Green = checked out, red = invalid/expired/bounced/unsubscribed with a short reason.

The limits of verification

Confirms an address appeared valid at check time — not a delivery guarantee. Catch-all domains and later-deactivated mailboxes can still bounce.
