Pre-Fill Returning Visitors With Sticky Contact
Sticky Contact remembers details someone typed before, using a browser cookie, and fills them in next time. It feels like autofill but is built into your forms.
Where it helps
- Repeat event sign-ups.
- Customer portals and reorder pages.
- Funnel follow-ups where a survey comes after a form.
- Return bookings on a calendar.
Turn it on
Forms: go to Sites > Forms, open the builder, click Form Settings, switch Sticky Contact on, and Save.
Surveys: go to Sites > Surveys, open the builder, open Survey Settings, switch on Sticky Contact, and Save.
Calendars: go to Calendars > Calendar Settings, choose the calendar, scroll to Forms & Payments, and toggle Sticky Contact. If the calendar uses a custom form, enable it on that form instead.
When not to use it
Skip it when your team fills in forms on behalf of customers, or when many people use one shared device, such as a kiosk. The saved details would keep overwriting the previous person's contact record.
Limits
- Data is tied to the browser and domain, so it will not carry across different subdomains.
- If a visitor clears cookies, fields will no longer be pre-filled.
- Mention cookie use in your privacy notice.
Good to know: Use a different browser profile or private window when testing, so your own saved details do not hide how a new visitor sees the form.
