Send Conversion Events to Meta from a Workflow
The Meta Conversion API action in Workflows sends conversion events directly from Vendi Today to Meta, without relying on the visitor's browser. It fills in gaps left by blocked cookies and ad blockers, improving attribution and helping Meta optimize delivery.
Build the workflow
- Create a conversion pixel first in Marketing > Ad Manager > Settings > Conversions.
- Go to Automation > Workflows and create a workflow with a trigger that fits your event (see below).
- Add the Meta Conversion API action.
- Choose the connection type Ad Manager. Your pixels are pre-listed and Vendi Today manages the access token. (The Integrations option requires you to copy a Pixel ID and token from Meta yourself.)
- Choose the Event Type: Funnel Event for website traffic campaigns, Lead Event for lead generation campaigns, or Instagram DM for click-to-message ads.
- Save and publish the workflow.
Which triggers work
- Funnel events: Form Submitted, Survey Submitted, Customer Booked Appointment (not the general appointment trigger) and Order Form Submission.
- Lead events: Facebook Lead Form Submission and Pipeline Stage Change, valid when the contact came from a Facebook lead form.
- Instagram DM events: any trigger that creates a contact.
Purchase values
For a Lead Event, set the Stage Name to match your pipeline stage, using the tag icon to insert pipeline and stage names. If the stage name is Purchase, two extra fields appear: Value (fixed or from a custom field) and Currency (default USD). They are ignored for any other stage.
Later-stage events
Events such as opportunity status changes can also be reported, provided the contact still holds the Facebook click identifier from the original ad interaction. A contact who first arrived from Google and later submitted a Facebook form carries the Facebook identifier, so it will work.
Custom mapping
Switch on custom mapping to supply your own fields for the click ID (funnel events) or Facebook lead ID (lead events). If left blank, system defaults are used.
Good to know: Name your lead pipeline stages consistently so the stage names you send to Meta match your reports.
