Local Presence Dialing

Places outbound calls from a number matching (or closely matching) the recipient's area code, so the call looks familiar.

How it works

  1. An exact area-code match among your numbers is used if available.
  2. Otherwise falls back to your personally assigned number.
  3. Otherwise the account's default number.

Mobile matching can go to the city level. International contacts get an in-country number when available. Override per-call with the number picker.

How to turn it on

Configure once from web: Settings → Phone Numbers → Voice → Other Settings → Outbound Call → Default Phone Number for Outbound Calls, select Local Presence Dialing. Applies across all your devices automatically.
