Use Manus Triggers and Actions in Workflows
Manus works with AI tasks: you give it a prompt, it works through the job, and it returns a result. Connecting it lets workflows start tasks, continue them, and react when they finish.
Triggers
- New Task Created
- Task Stopped (finished or halted)
They fire instantly, but only for tasks that were started from a workflow. Tasks created directly inside Manus will not start workflows.
Actions
Create Task, Get Task, Update Task, Fetch Tasks, Delete Task, and Continue a Task with a Prompt, which adds a follow-up to an existing task.
Store the Task ID
Creating a task returns a unique Task ID. Save it in a custom field on the Contact or opportunity right away. Get, Update, Delete, and Continue steps all need it, and later steps may fail or hit the wrong task without it.
Build it
- In Automation > Workflows, add a Manus step and click Connect Now. Enter your Manus API key from its dashboard.
- Choose a trigger from Vendi Today, such as a pipeline stage change.
- Add Create Task and write a prompt using merge fields like the contact's first name.
- Save the returned Task ID to a custom field.
- Add waits or conditions, then a step that uses the result.
- Test, save, and publish.
Example
When an opportunity reaches "Proposal Requested," ask Manus to draft a proposal, then create a task for a teammate to review it.
Good to know: Manus usage is limited by your own Manus plan, so confirm your allowance before launching high-volume automations.
