Adding a Cookie Consent Banner to Your Funnels and Websites

A cookie consent banner lets visitors choose which kinds of cookies your pages may store. Vendi Today builds this into the Sites editor, so you can switch it on without custom code. Because cookies are managed at the domain level, one setup covers every page of the funnel or website.

Turn the Banner On

  1. Go to Sites, open a funnel or website, and open any page in the editor.
  2. Click the Cookie Consent Banner Settings icon.
  3. Flip the Enable toggle.
  4. Choose a compliance style: Ask to Opt-In shows Accept Essential and Accept All buttons, while Don't Ask shows a single OK button.
  5. Write a short message, add a link to your privacy policy, and pick colors, fonts and a layout that match your brand.
  6. Save and publish.

Fine-Tune Behavior

  • Consent Expiration sets how many days pass before visitors are asked again.
  • Region controls let you show the banner to everyone, only to visitors in the EU and UK, or only to countries you pick.
  • Every button label (Accept All, Accept Essential, Customize, OK, Reject, Save Preferences, Cancel) can be reworded. Once you edit labels, automatic translations stop, so add each language yourself.

Organize the Cookie List

Turn on the Cookie List so visitors can accept categories individually: Essential (always on), Functional, Analytics, Performance, Advertising and Uncategorized. For each cookie, enter its key, duration, domain and a plain-language description. Patterns work in the key field, for example _ga.* to catch every Google Analytics cookie.

To discover which cookies your pages set, temporarily disable the banner, run a free cookie scanner against your URL, then sort the results into categories. The banner blocks non-essential cookies, which would hide them from the scan.

If a visitor rejects everything, only essential cookies are stored and tracking scripts stay off. Place ad pixels under Advertising and analytics tools under Analytics so they respect the choice.

Good to know: The banner is a helpful tool, not a guarantee of legal compliance, so have your privacy policy reviewed by a qualified professional.
