Connect Facebook and Instagram Messaging
Bring your Facebook Page messages and Instagram DMs into the same inbox where you already handle email and text, so you're not switching between three different apps to keep up with customers.
Connect Facebook
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Find Facebook & Instagram and click Connect.
- Log into Facebook and select your business page.
- Confirm the connection, then run the sync so existing contacts and conversations pull in.
Link Instagram to the same connection
Instagram messaging piggybacks on your Facebook Page connection, so there's one more step to enable it:
- From your Facebook Page settings, go to Account > Settings.
- Search for Linked Accounts and select it.
- Choose Instagram and log in to authenticate the link.
- Turn on the toggle that allows Instagram messages to flow into your inbox.
Confirm it's actually working
Before relying on it, test both directions:
- From a different account (your phone, a friend's account, anything not logged into your business page), send a test message to your Facebook Page and a separate one to your Instagram profile.
- Check your Conversations inbox in Vendi Today — both should show up.
- Reply to each from inside Vendi Today.
- Confirm the reply actually reaches the test account you messaged from.
A note on duplicate contacts
If someone messages you on Facebook or Instagram and they're already in your contacts from another channel, your account's contact matching settings determine whether that message gets attached to their existing record or creates a new one. Worth a quick check if you start noticing duplicate contacts after connecting.
If messages aren't showing up
Walk back through the permission and account-linking steps above — a missed toggle or an incomplete authorization is almost always the cause. If everything looks right and messages still aren't coming through, reach out to support.
