Delete Outdated Deals with the Remove Opportunity Action

Remove Opportunity deletes opportunities so your pipeline does not fill up with stale or duplicate deals.

Choose what to remove

  • All opportunities for the contact in the selected pipeline.
  • Only the opportunity that triggered the workflow or was found in an earlier step.

Set it up

  1. Open Automation > Workflows and create or edit a workflow.
  2. Click + and choose Remove Opportunity.
  3. Select one of the two removal options and, for the first option, choose the pipeline.
  4. Click Save Action.
  5. Test with a sample contact, then publish.

Examples

  • A lead unsubscribes entirely: remove all their open opportunities in the Prospecting pipeline.
  • A deal was created by mistake in a duplicate flow: add Find Opportunity with a filter for the duplicate, then remove only the found one.

Recovery

Removed opportunities can be restored for about two months, but only one at a time, not in bulk. Treat the action with caution.

Safer alternatives

If you only want to end a deal, use Update Opportunity to set its status to Lost or Abandoned. That keeps it in reports.

Good to know: Prefer the found-or-triggered option unless you truly want every deal in a pipeline gone, because it affects only one record.
