Auto-Save and Version History in the Sites Editor
The Sites editor saves your work continuously, and keeps a trail of earlier versions you can open, publish or roll back to. It works across funnels, websites, blogs, webinars and stores.
How Auto-Save Behaves
- Changes are saved in real time as you edit, so there is no need to press a button.
- A small status indicator switches between Saving... and Auto Saved so you always know where things stand.
- The Save button is still there if you prefer saving by hand.
- If your browser tab closes or crashes unexpectedly, recent edits are far less likely to be lost.
Version Snapshots
Vendi Today records a timestamped version every 10 minutes, but only when something changed during that window. Manual saves also create versions. Up to 50 versions are kept per item, and the oldest drop off first once you pass that number.
Browse and Restore a Version
- Open the page in the editor.
- Click the clock icon at the top right to open Version History.
- Pick a version from the list on the left to preview it.
- Use Restore Version to bring it back into the editor, or Publish to push it live directly.
Editing Shared Sections
If you edit a Global Section, a notice warns you that the change will appear everywhere that section is used. Read it before confirming, since version history for the page will not undo a change on other pages automatically.
Good to know: Before a big redesign, save manually once so you have a clearly timestamped version to return to.
