Place Images With Flexible Image Layouts

Image layouts control how a picture sits next to your questions. A good layout draws attention to the right spot without crowding the fields.

Layout options

There are five placement styles for forms and surveys. Choose the one that fits your content, for example a photo beside the questions, an image above the form, or a full-height image panel. Each option appears as a thumbnail in the image settings so you can compare them.

Style the image

  • Corner radius: Round the edges for a softer look.
  • Spacing: Adjust the gap between the image and the content on supported layouts.
  • Focal point: For fixed-position images, click the part of the picture that must always stay visible, such as a person's face. Cropping on narrow screens then keeps that area in view.

Set it up in a form

  1. Open the form and click Styles & Options.
  2. In Styles, find the image or header settings and upload your picture.
  3. Choose a layout, then adjust radius, spacing and focal point.
  4. Preview on desktop and mobile, then Save.

Customize individual survey slides

Surveys can override the global image layout per slide. Select a slide, open its image settings, and choose a different picture or placement. This is useful when an opening slide needs a large hero image and later slides need none.

Good to know: Compress images before uploading; lighter files load faster, which matters most for visitors on mobile data.
