Company Object Automation

If you deal with contacts belonging to businesses, Vendi Today can automatically group contacts under a shared Company record based on the business name attached to each contact.

What it does

Scans your contacts' Business Name field, creates a Company record for each unique name, and associates matching contacts. Address, city, state, postal code, website, and country carry over automatically. Runs once against existing contacts, then continues for every new contact.

Turning it on

Settings > Objects > Company, enable "Automatically Create and Associate Companies from Contact Business Names." Admin-only.

A matching quirk to know about

Matching is exact except for case — "Acme Inc" and "acme inc" match; "Acme Inc" and "AcmeInc" don't.
