Setting Weekly and Date-Specific Availability
Availability in Vendi Today is built from two layers that work together: a recurring weekly schedule, and one-off overrides for specific dates.
Weekly working hours
This is your baseline, repeating schedule — for example, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. It applies every week until you change it.
To set it:
- Go to Calendar Settings > Availability.
- Select the user or resource you're configuring.
- Click Edit under Weekly Working Hours.
- Set the available time range for each day of the week (leave a day blank or toggle it off if unavailable).
- Save.
Date-specific hours
Use this to override your weekly schedule for individual dates — holidays, a half-day, a one-off late shift, or extended hours for a special event. Date-specific hours always take priority over the weekly schedule whenever they overlap.
Important: when setting a date-specific override, enter the full time range you want available for that date, not just the portion that's different. For example, if your weekly hours end at 5 PM but you want to stay open until 8 PM on a particular date, enter 9 AM–8 PM (or whatever your full window is) — not just 5–8 PM. Entering only the extended portion replaces the whole day's availability rather than adding to it, which would make the earlier hours unavailable by mistake.
Consecutive date-specific entries are grouped together in the interface for easier review, but each date can still be edited independently.
Putting it together
Think of weekly hours as your default pattern and date-specific hours as exceptions layered on top. This combination lets you run a consistent recurring schedule while still handling holidays, one-off closures, or special extended hours without disrupting your regular setup.
