Connect Mailgun as Your Email Provider
A dedicated bulk-email infrastructure provider some businesses prefer for independent control over sending domain and deliverability data.
Setting up your account
- Create a Mailgun account, confirm your email.
- Sending > Add New Domain.
- Add a subdomain (recommended, e.g.
mg.yourbusiness.com), select US region. - Add Mailgun's DNS records to your registrar.
- Once verified (usually within an hour, up to 48), copy your API key.
- Connect in Vendi Today under Settings > Email Services > SMTP Service using that key.
- Send a test email.
Getting replies to route back into your conversations
By default, replies land in Mailgun, not Conversations:
- In Mailgun, go to Receiving, check for an existing route.
- If none, Create Route: Expression Type Catch All, Forward URL to Vendi Today's webhook endpoint, Priority 99, a clear description.
- Confirm the route was created.
If replies still don't show up, check MX records and confirm no competing email service on the same domain.
Before you commit
Built-in sending needs zero setup and works well for most accounts. Mailgun is worth it mainly for deeper visibility or existing standardization elsewhere.
