Connect Mailgun as Your Email Provider

A dedicated bulk-email infrastructure provider some businesses prefer for independent control over sending domain and deliverability data.

Setting up your account

  1. Create a Mailgun account, confirm your email.
  2. Sending > Add New Domain.
  3. Add a subdomain (recommended, e.g. mg.yourbusiness.com), select US region.
  4. Add Mailgun's DNS records to your registrar.
  5. Once verified (usually within an hour, up to 48), copy your API key.
  6. Connect in Vendi Today under Settings > Email Services > SMTP Service using that key.
  7. Send a test email.

Getting replies to route back into your conversations

By default, replies land in Mailgun, not Conversations:

  1. In Mailgun, go to Receiving, check for an existing route.
  2. If none, Create Route: Expression Type Catch All, Forward URL to Vendi Today's webhook endpoint, Priority 99, a clear description.
  3. Confirm the route was created.

If replies still don't show up, check MX records and confirm no competing email service on the same domain.

Before you commit

Built-in sending needs zero setup and works well for most accounts. Mailgun is worth it mainly for deeper visibility or existing standardization elsewhere.
