Payment Failure Alerts for WordPress Hosting
If your hosting payment does not go through, Vendi Today warns you in two places: inside the WordPress admin area and by email. The alerts are designed to give you time to fix billing before your site is affected.
Alerts inside WordPress
When a payment fails, the Vendi Today plugin shows a notice in the WordPress admin dashboard. The notice stays visible for a three-day grace period during which your site continues to work normally. If you dismiss it, it returns when the page reloads or at your next login until the problem is resolved. If the payment is still outstanding after three days, the site is locked until billing is fixed. The message text is standard and cannot be customized.
Email reminders
Automated emails go out on a fixed schedule:
- Day 1: payment overdue.
- Day 3: access restricted.
- Day 7: final reminder.
- Day 14: immediate action needed.
- Day 21: subscription canceled and the site deleted.
What you need to do
- Make sure the Vendi Today plugin is installed and active: in WordPress go to Plugins then Installed Plugins and look for it.
- There is nothing else to configure. Alerts appear automatically if a payment fails.
- To fix the problem, update your card or payment method in your Vendi Today billing settings and retry the payment.
Sites hosted through Vendi Today have the plugin installed automatically, so this usually requires no action on your part.
Good to know: Keep your billing contact email current so reminders land with someone who can actually update the card before day 21.
