Formatting Text, Links and Custom Values in the Inline Editor
Highlighting text in any block opens a toolbar with everything you need to style and personalize your copy.
Basic formatting
- Heading level and font family.
- Font size and color.
- Bold, italic, underline and strikethrough.
- Alignment, line height and lists.
- Clear Format to remove unwanted styling, which is helpful after pasting from a document.
List styles
Bulleted lists can use disc, circle or square markers. Numbered lists can use decimal numbers, lower or upper letters, Roman numerals or lower Greek letters.
Adding a link
- Select the words you want to link.
- Click the link icon.
- Enter the Link URL.
- Confirm the Text to Display.
- Optionally add a Title, which appears as a tooltip.
- Tick Open Link in New Window if readers should stay on the email.
- Apply.
The Link List drop-down offers links you have used before.
Custom values
Custom values insert details about each recipient, such as first name or location. Choose them from the custom-value picker, which also includes booking-related values for services and rentals where available. Make sure a fallback exists for contacts who lack the field.
Trigger links
Insert a trigger link to track clicks and kick off automations when someone taps. This is useful for confirmations, special offers and unsubscribes.
Preview before sending
Use Preview to see how custom values resolve for a real contact.
Good to know: Keep link text descriptive, such as Download the checklist, instead of generic words like click here.
