Search for Any Record

Whether you're looking for a contact, an opportunity, or a custom object record, Vendi Today's search works the same way across the platform — in dedicated search bars, global search, conversations, calendars, tasks, workflows, forms, and payments.

Basic rules

• You need at least 3 characters typed before a search runs.
• Contacts and Opportunities each support up to 6 searchable fields, configurable by an admin.
• Some fields can't be removed from search: Contact Name, Phone Number, and Email Address for contacts, and Opportunity Name for opportunities.

Advanced search with wildcards

• *abc — finds records ending with "abc"
• *abc* — finds records containing "abc" anywhere
• abc* — finds records starting with "abc"

Customizing what's searchable

1. Go to Settings → Custom Fields.
2. Open Edit Searchable Fields.
3. Add or remove fields, up to the limit for that object type.

Changes apply account-wide, for every user, across every place search happens.
