Layout Margins and Text Spacing

Good spacing makes emails easier to scan. Vendi Today gives you three controls: margins between layout blocks, spacing around headings and paragraphs, and spacing between list items.

Adjust layout margins

  1. Open the builder from Marketing > Emails.
  2. Click a layout block such as a row, section or column.
  3. In the left settings panel, find Margin.
  4. Set the Top and Bottom values with the slider or by typing pixels.
  5. Watch the preview update, then click Save.

Set spacing for text styles

  1. In the builder, click Appearance and choose Typography Settings.
  2. For each tag (H1 to H4 and paragraph), enable or edit Top Spacing and Bottom Spacing.
  3. Enter a value such as 10px.
  4. Click Save.

These settings apply to every email that uses those text styles, which keeps typography uniform.

List item spacing

Select a bulleted or numbered list and use List Item Spacing, next to Line Height in the style panel. It adds space between list items without altering the line height inside each item. Use both together: line height for dense paragraphs, item spacing to separate list entries.

Margin or spacer?

Margins are the preferred way to create vertical gaps between layout rows, because the spacing stays attached to the block when you move it. Use a spacer only when you need a gap inside a column.

Previewing

All spacing changes appear immediately on the canvas, and you can compare desktop and mobile views before sending.

Good to know: Typography spacing is global, so if one email looks off after a change, check whether another template shares that text style.
