Preview a Blog Post Before Publishing
A preview shows how your article will look to readers on desktop and mobile, so you can catch layout problems before going live.
What the preview shows
- Featured image and post title
- Category, tags and author, when set on the publish screen
- Publish date and estimated read time
- The full body, with working links, videos and author details
- A Back to Blog button, which does not function in preview
Open the preview
- In the post editor, click the three-dot menu in the top right.
- Choose Preview Post.
- Use the toggle at the top of the preview to switch between Desktop and Mobile views.
- Close the preview to return to editing.
What to check
- Images are not cropped awkwardly on mobile.
- Headings create a clear structure.
- Links open the right pages.
- Embedded media plays.
- Category and author names look correct.
Good to know: Preview only on a saved draft; if you changed something moments ago, wait for the autosave indicator or save manually first.
