Access Triggers: Offer and Product Granted or Removed
Four triggers tell your workflows when a contact gains or loses access to something you sell: Offer Access Granted, Offer Access Removed, Product Access Granted and Product Access Removed.
What each one means
- Product Access Granted: a contact is given access to a product, such as a course or membership.
- Product Access Removed: access to that product ends, whether by expiry, cancellation or manual removal.
- Offer Access Granted / Removed: the same, but for an offer, which is a bundle or package of products, such as an early-bird discount.
Filters
Each trigger lets you choose a specific Product or Offer to watch. Leave it empty to react to all.
Set one up
- Open Automation > Workflows and create a workflow.
- Click Add New Trigger and select one of the four.
- Name it, for example "Onboarding for Course A".
- Add the Product or Offer filter.
- Click Save Trigger, add actions, test, and publish.
Example workflows
- Access granted: send a welcome email with login steps, tag the contact "Member - Course A", and notify the support team.
- Offer granted: alert sales to follow up on high-value bundles and add a record to the contact.
- Access removed: email the contact explaining why, offer a renewal link, and remove their member tag.
- Expired subscription: wait a few days, then send a win-back discount.
Tips
- Use both a granted and a removed trigger for each product so the contact's tags always reflect their access.
- Avoid sending a renewal reminder at the same moment as a removal message; add a short wait.
- Pair with the welcome email template for new members so login details reach them instantly.
Good to know: Product triggers are best for single items, and offer triggers shine when a bundle should start a custom onboarding.
