Track Event Conversions with a Meta Pixel

Connect a Meta Pixel to an individual event to measure how visitors move from viewing your event page to completing an RSVP or ticket order. This is useful for judging which ads actually fill seats.

What Can Be Tracked

Event typeActions you can map
RSVPEvent page viewed, RSVP started, RSVP completed
TicketedEvent page viewed, Checkout started, Ticket selection completed, Registration form submitted, Payment details submitted, Ticket order completed

Completed ticket orders include free ($0) orders. They can also pass order value, currency, ticket quantities, and ticket identifiers to Meta. Session-based deduplication helps prevent double counting from refreshes or back-button use.

Set It Up

  1. Find your Pixel ID (the dataset ID) in Meta Events Manager.
  2. Go to Memberships, then Events, and open the event.
  3. Open Settings, then Link & tracking.
  4. Enter the Meta Pixel ID in the Meta Pixel settings.
  5. Use Event mapping to choose which Meta event fires for each action.
  6. Save.
  7. Visit the published page and walk through the journey to test it.

Notes

  • Configuration is per event, so confirm you are in the right one.
  • Page views count only when a published page loads, so preview mode will not fire them.
  • This is separate from advertising conversion settings and from site-wide tracking code.
  • Check-ins are not a Meta tracking action; use a Workflow trigger for those.

Good to know: Test an RSVP or a free ticket order first; it exercises the full funnel without spending money.
