Contact Deletion and Community Groups

Deleting a contact has consequences beyond your CRM if they're a community member.

What happens to a regular member

Deleting a contact removes them from every group they belonged to, losing access entirely.

Group owners are protected

The system won't let you delete a contact who owns a group — transfer ownership first.

Before you delete

Check group involvement first, especially for paying groups where deletion affects billing. Remove them from groups manually first to confirm the outcome.
