Start a Campaign from a Template
Templates let you begin a Google, Meta or LinkedIn campaign from a ready-made configuration rather than a blank form. You adjust the details and publish, which saves time on campaigns you run repeatedly.
Create a campaign from a template
- Go to Marketing > Ad Manager and click + Create Campaign.
- Select Google, Meta or LinkedIn, then click Next.
- On the Choose how you want to start creating the campaign screen, select Ad Manager Templates and click Next.
- Browse the list. Narrow it with Categories, Objectives (Engagement, Lead Generation, Sales, Web Traffic) or Tags.
- Click the eye icon to preview a template in the supported placements.
- Select a template and click Continue.
- Replace the copy, creative, URLs and targeting as needed, then review and publish.
If you do not see Ad Manager Templates, template access is restricted for your account. You will go straight to Start From Scratch.
What does not carry over
Templates do not guarantee every setting is transferred. In particular, a Meta campaign made from a template has no Page assigned. When you edit it, your default Page is applied, which you can change. Because no Page is set, you must also pick the lead form yourself for the Lead Generation objective. Always review account-specific fields before publishing.
Save a top performer as a template
- In the campaign list, click the three dots on a campaign that worked well.
- Choose Upload to Template Library.
- Enter a template name and choose a category.
- Click Upload.
The template is saved as a draft. Edit it if you wish, then keep it as a draft or publish it so it can be reused. LinkedIn and Google Demand Gen campaigns follow the same route.
Good to know: Remove client-specific names and URLs from a campaign before uploading it, so the template stays generic and safe to reuse.
