Number Intelligence
Number Intelligence is a bundle of three checks the system can run automatically on unknown phone numbers, so your team spends less time on spam and dead-end texts.
What it checks
- Spam detection — flags risky incoming calls from unknown US numbers as "Spam Likely" in your call logs.
- Caller ID / name lookup — looks up the caller's name for unknown US numbers so you can greet them by name.
- SMS validation — checks a phone number worldwide before you send it a first-time text, so you're not sending SMS to invalid or landline numbers that will never deliver.
Turning it on
- Go to Settings > Phone System > Additional Settings > Number Intelligence.
- Check Gather Intelligence on Unknown Phone Numbers.
All three checks turn on and off together as a single bundle — you can't enable just one. Spam detection and name lookup only apply to US numbers; SMS validation works internationally.
Why it's worth it
Beyond convenience, this pays for itself in two ways: filtering obvious spam before it wastes a rep's time, and catching invalid numbers before you spend a text message credit on a message that was never going to deliver. For more on managing spam specifically, see Caller Reputation & Spam Prevention.
Usage-based charges apply per lookup/validation performed — check Settings > Phone System > Billing for current rates.
