Phone System Pricing & Billing
Phone system costs are pulled from your account's wallet automatically as you use the system — there's no separate invoice to manage.
What you're billed for
| Item | How it's billed |
|---|---|
| Phone numbers | A small flat fee per number, per month (local numbers and toll-free numbers are priced separately) |
| Outbound & inbound calls | Per minute, billed per call leg |
| Call recording | Per minute of recorded audio |
| Call transcription | Per minute of transcribed audio |
| Voicemail transcription | Per voicemail |
| SMS | Per message segment (long messages may count as more than one segment) |
| MMS | Per message, generally higher than SMS |
| RCS | Per message, rates vary by carrier and message type |
| A2P registration | A one-time brand/campaign registration fee, plus a recurring monthly campaign fee based on your messaging volume tier |
Exact current rates are shown on Settings > Phone System > Billing before you're charged, and can vary by number type, destination country, and carrier.
How the wallet works
- Usage is deducted from your account's phone system wallet in real time.
- You can top up manually or turn on auto-recharge, which refills the wallet automatically once your balance drops below a threshold you set.
- If your wallet runs out and auto-recharge isn't enabled, outbound calling and texting will stop working until you add funds — inbound calls and messages are typically unaffected.
Where to review usage
Go to Settings > Phone System > Billing to see:
- Your current wallet balance and auto-recharge settings
- A breakdown of recent charges by number, call, and message
- Your A2P campaign tier and its associated monthly fee
If a charge looks wrong, check the usage breakdown first — most surprises come from MMS (which costs more than SMS), international calls/texts, or a number that wasn't assigned to anyone and kept its monthly rental fee active.
