Creating a Calendar Group
Setting up a calendar group takes just a few minutes once you know which existing calendars you want to combine. Here's the process from start to finish.
Before you start
Make sure every calendar you want included already exists and is configured the way you want — a group can only include calendars that have already been created. If you need a new calendar for a provider or service that isn't set up yet, create that first.
Creating the group
- Go to your calendar settings and choose to create a new group.
- Give the group a clear name and description — customers may see this depending on your display settings, so make it something they'll recognize.
- Choose a display style for how the group presents its calendars to customers.
- Set a custom URL slug for the group's booking link — this is the single link you'll share going forward.
- Save to create the group, then add the individual calendars you want included from the selection menu that appears.
Naming and organizing for clarity
If you're grouping by staff member, name each underlying calendar after the person so customers immediately understand what they're choosing between. If you're grouping by service instead, name calendars after the service rather than the provider, so the group reads clearly regardless of who's actually available.
After creating the group
Test the group's booking link yourself to confirm every calendar you added shows up as expected and that availability reflects correctly for each one.
Good to know: A calendar can belong to more than one group if it makes sense for your business — for example, the same provider's calendar could appear in a "book by staff" group and a separate "book by location" group.
